Litter Available

Well, I had every intention of taking pictures to post this morning. I even got new batteries yesterday, but alas, my camera just doesn't want to play......grrrrrrrr!!!!! Maybe I got a pack of dud new batteries-happens, right? Hopefully picture to soon follow!

I currently have a litter that just turned 8 wks old born 3/23. There are 2 black does, 2 black tort does and 1 black buck for sale. Their Dam is my Reg GC REW doe and their Sire is a black buck out of the Hunneshagen lines. At this time all apprear to be show quality- hard to pick keepers from this bunch! The buck is $125 and the does are $175.

I also have a tort (buck?) born 5/2 that will be available after 6/27. Price will be based on sex/quality at the time of weaning.

I will be at the Gouvereur Show on the 22nd. I also plan at this time to make the shows in Frankfort, Ithaca and Dunkirk. Local delivery also possible. Please feel free to contact me with any questions at ljangoras@aol.com.

Been busy!

I know how neglectful I've been with my blog. I've been working my usually unpredictable full time job, I've taken on a part time job caring for horses-bad time of year for that! I can never warm up anymore! Some know, some don't- I had gastric bypass in May 2009 and now am down 137 from my highest weight. I feel great and have no regrets other than not having had more knitted/spun up to keep warm!

I've also been breeding away. I'm planning on attending PA Convention next month and the Angora Nationals in March. I would also really love to make 2010 the year I attend my first ARBA Convention! Above is Ina, a blue tort I'm keeping out of my best English wool doe from last year's Angora Nationals. She was just too curious to get any better a picture of. Below are her REW doe litter mates. I'm keeping the one, but the other is available.

The cuties to the right are a litter of all bucks out of the mother of the 2007 Youth ARBA Convention winner and a Silvertone buck. I only think that I'll be keeping one. I'll make my decision on who when I wean them at the end of the month. The other's will also be available.

Last but not least are the wee ones at the very bottom born on New Year's Day. Again, I'll wait to make any desicions when I wean them. If you're interested in any please e-mail me at ljagoras@aol.com. Delivery to any of the show I attend or within reasonable drive. I'm also going to be

having some proven Sr rabbits available. I'll be posting them as well as some pictures-hopefully, in my next post.

I'm back!!!

I could use all the excuses in the book as to why I've been such a bad blogger. But I'm back and intend to keep up.

So lets see, I've been spinning and knitting my heart out. I was able to knit a pair of mittens in 1 week. I'm feeling so much better about my finished products, FINALLY!!! Here I used 100%junior French Angora wool that I had gotten from my friend Charlotte Schweikart. The body of the mitten in blue. While I was spinning, I had a partial spool of blue and a partial spool of white, so I plied the together and used that for the cuffs and thumbs and just love the look.
On Saturday the 22nd, Steuben Co Fair in Bath, NY held their fisrt ARBA sanctioned rabbit show that we attended. I was very impressed at the turn out and even though there was only one other breeder with an English Angora I looked forward to getting some outside feedback on this seasons show string. BOB was earned by Liberty Junction Lacey, pictured above, and BOS was Liberty Junction Boone- my blue tort buck.
My computer had crashed and although I have all my old info and pictures on a back up hard drive, I'm having difficulty pulling some of the information back up now. So I hope to get the issues resolved and update my webpages soon........

It's not Angora.....but..........

Well, like I said, it's not Angora. To tell the truth I don't even remember what kind of sheep's wool this is, but what I do know, is that this is the some of the first wool that I learned to spin on a couple years ago on my first wheel. I had stuck it away an forgotten about it until a couple months ago when I was reorganizing and taking stock. So as if anyone doubted my sanity, here it was April or so when I started the scarf, then the mitties and I just finished the hat. It was just last night at a warm summer's night softball game that the finishing touches were made. I'm a goof, I know, but a proud one! Boy, have I improved............hmmmm, what next?!

New news

Congratulations to Linda Cassella's double BIS with 2 different does at the Frankfort Show I went to this weekend. Need I say more as to how well I did? Anyway, being less than 2 weeks out of sugery I was just glad to survive by the end of the day.
Yesterday morning I found this little litter in the nestbox. Looks like 2 blacks and 1 blue. The one is pretty tiny- hopefully a few extra mintues with mom each day will help it along.

My current Juniors

Well, I just had surgery last week, so here's my time to finally catch up my online stuff since i have the time to whittle away at it over the next couple weeks................

Here are my Junior does. The Blue is out of my GC Liberty Junction Annette and is just 7 wks now and I can wait to see how she grows up! Her toenails match, she has a great body and appropriate Jr density. I'm crossing my fiingers she ends up like I hope but haven't come up with a name for her yet. The REW doe is out of Countryside Promise born in March. I just love her! I'm naming her Lacey. She's got a super typey body, awesome texture and density. Looking forward to having her on the show tables in the fall and then having

her as my brood stock

This adorable little blue tort buck...............First of all he's littermate to Lacey. I have resisted the urge to name him yet. He's incredible-awesome typey body, great shoulder and hindquater, texture, density, depth of color and oh, did I mention personality. He's such a sweethart and character that just loves attention. A huge part of me wants to hold on to him so see where he ends up, but with half my rabbitry being bucks, I'm offering him available at $150.
